ECPI Stockholm Meeting in September 2012

The ECPI were once again hosted by Stockholms universitet for their third meeting of 2013 which took place in early September. The group discussed the proposed new Directive on the protection of the EU’s financial interests and its efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking. A more detailed explanation of our findings will follow. At their September meeting, the members of the ECPI also continued their work on identifying principles for criminal procedure and made considerable progress as to individual rights. The group will resume their work in early November and then prepare their workshop with experts from academia and other legal professions dealing with the cross-border aspects (more information to follow).
